Ida (Darwinius masillae) – veriga lipsa ?

Ida este  conform paleontologului Jørn Hurum de la muzeul de Istorie Naturala din Oslo, Norvegia, dupa a carui fiica a fost numita,  prima veriga in evolutia oamenilor de pe Pamant din primate. Este prima fosila a stramosilor omenirii gasita intreaga, undeva in Germania si  este considerata a avea 47 de milioane de ani vechime.

Ida, cunoscuta ca Darwinius masillae (numita in cinstrea lui Charles Darwin), are o anatomie unica, cu un schelet asemanator lemurienilor, cu membre superioare care pot apuca, cu degetele mari opozabile si degete cu unghii.

Chiar daca este promovata ca veriga lipsa, nu strica sa luam in considerare ca poate fi doar stramosul lemurienilor de astazi, si nu si al primatelor din care noi ne tragem ca specie.
